Student Project

Design and Development of Micro & Nano Satellites with Light Rocket Systems

EV SOCIETY™

This project focuses on the design, development, and launch of micro and nano satellite systems integrated with light rocket platforms for low-altitude aerospace missions. The system includes the development of a CANSAT-class satellite capable of performing real-time sensing, telemetry, and controlled descent after deployment from a model rocket at approximately 1000 meters altitude. The project emphasizes a system-of-systems engineering approach, covering payload design, avionics, communication systems, energy management, and structural integration. Inspired by Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Management Systems (BMS), the project introduces intelligent energy monitoring, efficient power utilization, and safety mechanisms into aerospace systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience in rocket design, satellite integration, telemetry systems, and mission lifecycle engineering—from concept definition and simulation to launch and post-flight analysis. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between EV engineering and aerospace systems, enabling future-ready engineers to work on autonomous air mobility, space technologies, and advanced energy systems.
